Robert Redford is one man, all alone, 1700 miles from the Sumatra straight. It’s July 13, 4:50 pm, and that doesn’t mean much to us now, but when we go back eight days, and go through what he’s about to go through….when all is lost, but his body and soul, we understand.
Of course like the film 127 Hours where James Franco is stuck between a boulder, we wonder why Redford is out there alone for 192 hours in the first place. The entire movie takes place in Redford’s body language. There are no words, there are no people, we’re in silence. His eyes however, speak loudly. And as his audience, we learn that every movement has significance when it could be his last. ♕ ♚ ♛
