Nick (“Superbad’s” Michael Cera) is a senior in high school who can mix a mad CD. Maybe that’s because he’s a musician in the band “The JerkOffs.” Norah (Kate Dennings) has never met him but she’s gathered his CDs from the trash bin that her friend, Tris (Alexis Dziena) keeps tossing away since she dumped his butt months ago. Norah is sure this musical genius is her soulmate of sound. Then, like some weird twist of fate, and after a situation goes awkward at a nightclub, Norah unknowingly runs into Nick and asks him to ‘be my boyfriend for five minutes.’ The premise is certainly original before turning long and boring. Just imagine a night where you’re stuck babysitting annoying drunken friends and you’ll soon understand the concept of sitting through this movie. Nevertheless it’s a contemporary way to throw together a love story and like “Superbad” before it, teens and friends manage to evolve all in the course of one long all-nighter. Nick’s Infinite Play list is one infinite never-ending evening that seems to end for the viewer long before the second round of drinks are passed. Time for actor Michael Cera to do something other than the nerdy other guy. One and a half tiaras.
