….that Sarah (Jennifer Aniston) is about to find out that her grandma (Shirley MacLaine) was the basis for the 1960s movie “The Graduate” in which her lover, Beau Burroughs (Kevin Costner) was the inspiration for the Dustin Hoffman character. Got it? Doesn’t matter. When Aniston travels cross west to her sister (Mena Suvari’s) wedding, some deep, dark family secrets are revealed that you’ll share in the unraveling. Aniston is to marry her own fiancee (Mark Ruffalo) too, but as the tale evolves, history is about to repeat itself. A smart movie, albeit, a little far fetched, yet the characters stay in what we’d imagine their character would be/remain, right to the end. Touching and at times twisted, the movie is smartly directed by Rob Reiner. MacLaine (as she did earlier this year for “In Her Shoes”) manages to again be the feisty, outspoken matriarch, commanding every scene she’s in.
