A true action-packed thriller starring the Nicolas Cage we knew and loved in City of Angels…Will Gerard
(Nicolas Cage) is a happily married man to Laura (January Jones.) He’s a school teacher and she’s a musician who’s attacked after leaving a rehearsal. Beaten practically to death, and in ICU, her husband stands at her side when a man, Simon (Guy Pearce) proposes an intriguing offer…he can “Take care” of the rapist who did this to Laura, because after all the system will drag the victim through the nightmare all over again. Grief-stricken and vulnerable Will takes the deal. What he doesn’t know is that Simon will continue to show up in his life and expect him to be part of a vigilante operation. It’s code words “The Hungry
Rabbit Jumps.”

The only thing that doesn’t make sense is the casting of Guy
Pearce as the bad guy. Apparently he signed on late in the film and while he’s come a long way from his innocent
chipmunk-cheek nervous rookie in L.A. Confidential. Three and a half tiaras
