(rated PG-13, 113 mins.) Based on the Robert Ludlum best seller comes the story of the Talented Mr. Matt Damon as Jason Bourne. Bourne is a man with amnesia rescued at sea by a crew of an Italian fishing boat, and finds himself being pursued by hired killers. This man without a face however, does an amazing job speaking multiple languages and beating people up with intensive kali, a Filipino martial art chosen for its viciousness. His search for identity includes a sidekick in Marie (Franka Potente) of “Run Lola Run” evidently still speeding along. Damon has the muscle to carry his first action role and director Doug Liman is able to go from indie “Swingers” flicks to directing a big budget movie $60 million dollars later. While entertaining, the story opens with a bang yet loses its fizzle by act three.
