(Rated R, 83 mins.) Julie Styron (Stockard Channing) is an organized, shuttle hopping, business woman with all the travel accessory style of Sharper Image catalog. She’s so busy she does her weekly therapy appointment via phone from a lonely hotel room on a king-size bed. But, being a powerful Forbes type, while pouring an evening Dewars Scotch are not enough to buy her happiness. Not until she hooks up with a would-be assistant (Julia Stiles) when their planes are cancelled one night at an airport. It turns into a long evening of control and manipulation involving Nick Harris (Frederick Weller) a cocky head-hunter. Channing is excellent and sympathetic in her role. Stiles is all grown up proving she can handle a drama that is a far cry from her high school premise movies. The story focuses on two things: One is the constant power shift from middle-aged exec to know-it-all young girl and two: one woman has everything to lose and one has nothing. But, for me it’s three: Nobody really cares.
