(rated PG 13) Finally, a movie about four guys who act their age. Well, sort of, in the story of the ratty Raj Mahal senior citizen residence in party laden South Beach, Miami. Sans sexy models on white sandy beaches, instead, former wiseguys: Bobby Bartellemeo, Joey “Bats” Pistella, Mike ” The Brick” Donatelli, and Tony “Mouth” Donato, don’t have time to dabble their toes in the Atlantic, as they face eviction from their senior center. Management has plans for renovations of the building, to force higher rents and attract a higher end clientele. This doesn’t sit well with the boys. Despite pink plastic flamingos, it may be artificial, but it’s still their turf! The foursome (starring Burt Reynolds and Richard Dreyfuss) devise a plot a la “Good Fellas” meets “Pulp Fiction” that creates chaos and comedy, when their madcap caper goes wrong. Reynolds knows how to pick ‘em, and follows up in another off the wall “Boogie Nights” role that won him acclaim. Dreyfuss is perfectly following in his footsteps. Supporting cast of Dan Hedya and Seymour Cassel is exceptionally amusing. You’ll love these sympathetic underdogs.
