Like their train that veers off-course so does the plan of Francis (Owen Wilson) who formulates a plot to have a ‘spiritual reunion’ with his brothers (Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman) on a train bound for India called “The Darjeeling Limited.” What starts out as a journey that would gain momentum – he wants his brothers to know he loves them and wants to bond again – soon derails into absolute nonsense. They have to be out of their minds (and quite possibly on a lot of drugs) having a lot more fun making this movie then we did watching it. The one thing I did learn in all their goose-chasing antics that include their father’s funeral and finding their mother turned nun (Anjelica Houston) in the Himalayans, is that I’m glad to be an only child. Sibling rivalry is clearly not my cup of um, darjeeling. Two tiaras
