Another kids show makes it to the big screen as three darling crime fighting sisters – Buttercup (voice of Elizabeth Daily), Blossom (voice of Catherine Cavadini) and Bubbles (voice of Tara Strong) tackle their male demographic audience. The story opens prologue style with Professor Utonium (voice of Tom Kane) working in his lab to create the perfect little girl to help protect Townsville. What he gets is an overdose of Chemical X in the form of three bug-eyed energy balls that are the Charlie’s Angels of animation. There’s not much more in the way of a plot though a funky soundtrack.helps these female Energizer bunnies move along. The Powerpuff girls will find their final audience someplace in the middle age group, between bored older kids and a little too much for tiny ones. Still, an ok choice for rainy summer days for all kids in general.
