WHen a cyber accomplice finds the perfect partner – you – FBI agent, Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) has more than she bargained for. Marsh spends most of her time catching sexual predators and credit card scammers, but when a very topical situation surfaces in which a killer live-streams the potential death of an innocent victim, the FBI has their hands full like nothing they’ve ever seen before. That’s because it’s up to you to hit the website thus dictating when the victim will die. It’s like U Tube with murder just for watching. The first victim: A kitten. Of course much of the police banter is smart-over-our-technical-heads, but we get the point that the world has morphed into one big reality show. And the more you log on, the faster victims die thus making any American who visits the site an accomplice. Lane continues to amaze as the actress who is beyond capable in every role she tackles whether it’s a romantic comedy “Under the Tuscan Sun” or the thriller “Unfaithful” which earned her an Oscar nomination. She’s sophisitcated, smart and always sensitive in one pretty package. Her likeable and easy-going police partner Griffin is played by Tom Hank’s son Colin Hanks while the more sexy special agent Eric is played by Billy Burke but never take off in the direction that might have the two of them romantically linked.
