Doug (Tim Allen) is a married dentist with high cholesterol. Bobby (Martin Lawrence) is a hen-pecked stay at home dad writing a “How To…” book. Dudley (William H Macey) is a computer geek too dumb to get the girl, and Woody (John Travolta) has just lost his job and his super-model wife. So when the going gets tough, these four mid-life-crisis-losers get going – across country on a motorcycle ride that brings non-stop hilarious laughter right to the last scene – even if they run out of gas; literally. Each of the four guys holds up their end of the bargain and their character’s weight nicely. Jack (Ray Liotta) adds to the mix as a gang leader of a generic Hell’s Angels group. Sure there are better movies out there but it doesn’t matter because this one will appeal to all husbands and men in general – men who can’t just take off and be with the guys for a week of fun. It’s a dream escape especially in the middle of winter with not much else on the big screen. Three tiaras
